Unfolding

Part II of the study unfolds the possible future worlds of the Netherlands. Unlike the oracle in Waterhouse's painting, we are not predicting the future. CPB is not an oracle to be consulted for predicting the long-term future of our country. Rather, we sketch here four possible scenarios for the future of the Dutch economy. To do so, we use the ingredients of Part I about the importance of people and location to build an analytical framework from which four scenarios can be constructed.
